BRENT HOWIE - PRESIDENT

Brent Howie co-founded and is President of Provident Management Corporation, a privately held condo-hotel management company. Initially established as a residential property management organization, under his leadership, Provident Management evolved into a pioneer and innovator in the Condo-Hotel industry. Brent entered into the condominium resort business in 1980 with the first conversion of a beachfront hotel into the condominium form of ownership on the Gulf Coast of Florida. This innovation not only created a new future for Provident, but also evolved into a new concept in the resort/hotel industry.

Throughout the next several years, Brent continued to grow Provident's condo resort business while constantly refining the condominium rental program it had developed through innovation and trial and error. As a result, many of Provident's programs, concepts and operating philosophies have now become "Standard of the Industry". In many Florida markets, including Tampa, Orlando and Miami, Provident opened the first true purpose built condominium hotel. The present day condo-hotel industry has been strongly influenced with the foundations laid by Provident under Brent's leadership.

Brent graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration, and is licensed by the State of Florida as a Community Association Manager (CAM). Brent regularly speaks on the national stage and has been featured on television cable networks showcasing condo-hotels and has been interviewed and quoted by many publications, including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

CARLOS MARQUEZ - VICE PRESIDENT SALES AND MARKETING

An energetic, result driven, industry executive with over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Carlos Márquez began his employment with Provident in 1995 and has literally traveled the globe promoting its properties.

With a hands-on management approach as a Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, he is responsible for matters ranging from demographic and feasibility studies to handling day-to-day sales operations.

Carlos has successfully developed and implemented marketing plans, strategies and promotional programs to lead Provident hotels to achieve or exceed sales goals. He has been instrumental in increasing the average daily rate and occupancy with the yield and penetration indexes exceeding 100%.

LUCY FRY -  VICE PRESIDENT FINANCE & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Lucy Fry is a 30 year veteran of the hospitality industry. Lucy oversees the company's financial, accounting, information systems, treasury, tax, planning and reporting activities. Lucy’s hospitality career spans across the globe having worked in numerous countries in a variety of roles giving her a unique perspective. Experience includes a variety of roles including Director of Finance for the Sonesta Resort in Bermuda and most recently as Director of Finance at Salamander Reunion Golf Club & Resort, Orlando. She has also held several senior finance corporate roles at Starwood Vacation Ownership, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Taylor Morrison.

Lucy’s experience blends resort finance operations, condo hotel management, internal audit, vacation rental, golf and club resort management, real estate development with a unwavering passion for the hospitality industry and service excellence. Lucy loves to travel and experience as many resorts and hotels as she can. Bringing back ideas to improve or implement.

Lucy graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, England with a degree in Hotel Management. Lucy has continued her education to ensure she keeps up to date and also holds several professional certifications including; Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and Certified Sarbanes-Oxley Professional (CSOXP).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

JANA READ - VICE PRESIDENT REAL ESTATE

Heading up Provident's realty business, Jana Read has been a member of the Provident Management Corporation team since 1983. During her span with Provident, Jana has held various positions over a period of seventeen years, which includes General Manager at five different Provident Resorts. Jana was instrumental in the development of Provident's onsite policies and procedures in the intricate business of condominium hotels.

Jana's diverse real estate experience ranges from the operation of high-end beachfront resorts and metropolitan hotels, to limited service corporate extended stay properties.

Jana began her successful real estate career in the management of residential properties and became a Licensed Real Estate Broker in 1982. Jana also became a Licensed Community Association Manager in 1986.

Originally from Connecticut and then Miami, Jana now resides on the West Coast of Florida. Jana is an accomplished American-Kennel Club dog handler and has regularly competed at the national level.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

ROBIN GRAF, REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Robin Graf  has recently joined the Provident team as the Regional Director of Operations. Robin has thirty (30+) years in the hospitality industry, working for some of the major brands like Hyatt, Hilton, Luxury Hotels & Resorts, as well as regional brands as a General Manager or senior executive. Robin has also worked in a similar role with a company in Hawaii, Castle Resorts & Hotels, where he oversaw all operations for 21 hotels and condominium resorts, vacation rentals and association property management.

Robin is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys surfing, skiing, fishing and golf and is looking forward to exploring those opportunities here in Florida. Robin is also the proud father of three sons, all who are currently living, working or going to school in Hawaii.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

SADY GARCIA, DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLGY

Sady Garcia has been in the IT industry for the past 28 years. Sady currently holds a master’s in business administration with a concentration in technology management. Highly technical, Sady also holds over 27 different certifications and continues to educate every chance possible on new technologies and platforms. A veteran of the United States Army, Sady has been in leadership roles expanding over 20 years and has held almost every role in the IT field from Service Desk to IT Architecture, to Supervisor, and now Director. Because of this wide experience exposure, Sady has had the privilege to have worked in multiple countries and led global teams in a multitude of projects that have covered over 27 different countries.

Some of Sady’s volunteer work is with technology and mentoring. As a firm believer in corporate social responsibility, Sady has developed relationships with several local charities like Florida High School Tech, Poder LatinX and Camaraderie Foundation. The departments that Sady has led has delivered IT equipment to these charities for them to use in their programs at zero cost to the charity. The departments in charge of this delivery, will hand deliver and do a complete setup at a location of the charity’s preference. Sady also volunteers as a Camaraderie Foundation’s Leadership Mentor to help veterans coming out of active service into the civilian sector. As a mentor, Sady helps these veterans with all facets of their career new career venture, like resumes, education, and networking.

GLENN HOLMAN - CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Glenn Holman joined Provident Management Corporation as the Corporate Controller in April of 2015. Glenn brings with him 30 years of hotel experience in accounting, finance and operations. Glenn oversees the financial operations for all PMC properties. He is responsible for all financial reporting, internal controls and analytical processes to optimize financial results.

Prior to joining Provident, Glenn worked as a Controller for hotel developers performing project/construction accounting functions for acquisitions, renovations and hotel conversions. Glenn was also the Director of Finance at The Blue at Doral from the inception of the development stages through the grand opening and 1st year of operation with a prior management company before Provident’s acquisition of the property. Glenn’s career also includes several years with LXR, eight years with Wyndham International Hotels overseeing the finance departments for several of their South Florida properties and 10 years with Sonesta International Hotels in various financial roles.

Glenn joined the hospitality industry in 1986 in Massachusetts and later relocated to Miami where he worked for 27 years. He now resides in Tampa with his wife and two children.
