“GREAT place to stay!”

What a wonderful time we had at this oceanfront resort! They have an extremely clean pools for adults and kiddies, jacuzzi's and right on the beach! All balconies have beautiful sunset views of the ocean! I stayed in a very updated two bedroom, two bathroom condo, with all kitchenware, fridge, and even kids toys for the beach! Could not have had a better vacation, will definately recommend to my friends and return when visiting St. Pete.

“Great beach vacation accommodation.”

We stayed at Sunset Vista's for my son's wedding on the beach. We had a beachfront unit and loved looking out to the Gulf and seeing the boats and the parasailers going by. The assigned parking was nice and having the privacy of the separate bedrooms was good too. I would definitely stay there again.

"A Great Stay in a Spacious Suite!"

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and thought it was excellent. Having read a couple of not so great reviews, we were a little worried - we needn't have been. When we walked in, we breathed a huge sigh of relief.

We were in Room N412, and our balcony (which was accessible from both the the living room and master bedroom) had spectacular views of both the main pool and the beach/sea. The suite had 2 bathrooms, which came in very handy for the four of us. We also felt that the suite was extremely well stocked too.I hate being cooped up in a hotel room, but the spaciousness here was fantastic.

The staff we came in contact with were great. We had an extrememly warm welcome on arrival and the bonus was our room was ready, even though we arrived early. The Reception staff were lovely when we checked out too. My daughter was in the room when the maid service called to see if we wanted more towels, and left us plenty. Any grounds people we met around, either while waiting for the elevator or passed on the way to our room, were polite and friendly, always speaking to us and often enquiring if we were having a great stay.

“Very nice vacation rental on the beach.”

This was our 2nd time staying at Sunset Vista. As always, the beach view was excellent. All rooms have a great view of the beach. The two bedroom condo is well equipped with everything you need. The property is well kept up. Enjoyed the two pools and hot tubs, plus the beach. They added a community chest for beach items to be left and shared with other guests. The John Pass boardwalk area, less than 1/2 mile away has great restaurants and places to hang out

"On the Beach"

Great location right on the beach at Treasure Island.
Standard suites are fine with two adequate sized bedrooms - a good living space and well equipped kitchen.
Tip - make sure you book a gulf facing room to maximize the view.
Even better - if one of the penthouse suites is available - pay for the upgrade - sooo worth it.

Great hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Key Largo and great diving. Off season was very affordable and great base camp for exploring the upper keys.

All Good- Booking

Location good, pool good, very comfortable place to stay in the Keys for family with children and 1 or 2 extra adults. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Surf's Up in Tampa!

Members of the Iowa delegation to the Republican National Convention were arriving in Tampa today, including yours truly and Register reporter Jennifer Jacobs.  Sen. Charles Grassley, his wife, Barbara, and staff arrived at the delegation hotel, the Sunset Vistas Beachfront on Treasure Island, as we were checking in.  A costumed pirate was posing for pictures in the stiff breeze outside, and the surf is definitely up. There have been a few sprinkles, but no heavy rain yet.

The Republican National Committee this afternoon announced a new convention schedule that compresses four days’ worth of meetings in into three.  Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to cause heavy rains and high winds in the Tampa area on Monday. Fears that the city could face a hurricane were diminishing as the storm appeared to be veering west.

Republican congressional candidate John Archer of Bettendorf was originally scheduled to speak to the convention on Monday. The day’s activities are canceled, but there is time on Tuesday’s schedule for GOP congressional candidates to speak.  The schedule did not indicate whether all of the originally scheduled candidates would still get to speak. Update:  Archer’s campaign confirmed today that Archer is scheduled to speak on Tuesday.

Location good, pool good, very comfortable place to stay in the Keys for family with children and 1 or 2 extra adults. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Fabulous Hotel! - TripAdvisor

We have stayed in 3 hotels in Tampa and this is the one that will be our top choice. It is far superior to even the more expensive hotels at which we've stayed. The suite rooms are clean and comfortable for a family of 4 with a well-appointed kitchen. The views from every room balcony are of beautiful Tampa Bay. The recently refurbished deck and "beach" are perfect for relaxing, reading, sunning and sunset viewing -- we've watched spectacular sunsets the last three nights! There is a volleyball court (the hotel supplies the volleyball) a firepit and a number of outdoor grills. The staff from the front desk, to security, to housekeeping, to the General Manager are engaged, friendly and extremely responsive and helpful! We called to inquire about a cookie sheet and one was delivered to our door within minutes. Our daughter attends a Tampa college and we will happily return to this hotel when visiting her.

Wonderful Hotel - TripAdvisor

This place is awesome clean very friendly people and the view from our balony was breath taking and the price I could not believe. They have a nice pool, lots of places to sit outside and watch the sunset. We had a one bedroom suite very nice.Would go back in a minute.

Staycation Bliss

I wanted to stay in my home town but get away...and found the Mutiny Hotel and was very please with both the service, especially from Juan who made my family feel right at home. I strongly recommend a visit to the Mutiny Hotel.

Great Place to Stay

Oct 2012 will be my 4th time staying at Sailport. It feels like home, with a great staff and wonderful views. I can't wait to see the updated rooms and grounds. If you are looking for a relaxing place, check them out. Easy traveling to Airport and Clearwater beach.

Wonderful hotel w/excelent customer service

My husband and I have been staying at the Mutiny for the past 8yrs. It started with him proposing to me in 2004 on the balcony overlooking the Biscayne Bay. He called and told the manager what he had planned to do and they mad it a very special moment with complimentary wine and chocolate covered strawberries. That was the start of calling the Mutiny our second home away from home. We've been coming to the Mutiny every year since and that's also where we stayed during our wedding in Miami in 2006. We loved the fact that it's spacious and feels like home away from home. It has everything you would need while on vacation or on business. You have a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, spacious bathroom, washer/dryer, pool, and restaurant. Also, around the corner is Coco Walk where you have shops, restaurant, and bars. Last but not least is the excellent, excellent, excellent customer service. That was a big plus! Our last visit was 8/1/12 and we will be back again next year for year 9. The Mutiny may not be a 5 star hotel chain but it's 5 star in my eye's. I guess you get the picture....The Mutiny is GREAT!

Great Vacation

My family and I recently spent a week at Ocean Point Suites and loved it. We had a fantastic view of the Atlantic, great accomodations, and close proximity to some nice restaurants on the gulf side to watch the sunset and attractions. Besides going to Penecamp and Theater of the Sea, I had the most fun just fishing for snapper off the dock with my daughter who proclaimed our success to the entire marina every time we had a bite. We also had success catching lobster off a rented kayak right out in front of the resort. I got my limit first day of mini season. Anyways, I would highly recommend the place and plan on going back as soon as possible.

Great Place for a Getaway - Expedia

The view from the room was great! Very peaceful, even with it being close to the airport! The only thing that they don't have is a bar or restaurant in the hotel....but Bahama Breeze across the street is great and they send you in a shuttle so you don't need to drive

Great Place to Rest! - Hotels.com

My daughters and I stayed here when my daughters played in a softball tournament about 10 miles away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to relax when not playing ball. The view was amazing, the pool was extremely clean and exactly what was needed after a hot day at the ball field. We also liked having the kitchen to have drinks and snacks available whenever we wanted it. It was also great not having to go out to eat all the time

Great hotel - with an unusual history

Our family of seven stayed at the Mutiny for two nights on our way in from the Keys. The kids initially wanted to go back to Miami Beach, but after we checked in, everyone preferred to continue our stay at the Mutiny. It was clean and very nicely appointed. This hotel combines the best of both traditional hotels and condos (concierge, on site restaurant and room service along with a full kitchen and washer/dryer). Coco Walk is just around the corner, so we were able to let our teenagers hang out there while the adults had drinks nearby. Great for people watching, but not a lot to do otherwise. The Grove is bordered by some less than favorable areas, but as long as you stay on the main roads, you won't have any problems. While visiting a friend in the area, we learned a lot about the hotel's history. Apparently the hotel is on the Coconut Grove's haunted history tours. We (the adults) had no problems, but you probably don't want to mention that part to the kids. We did - huge mistake, but it did make the remainder of our stay entertaining. Research the hotel's history. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Excellent customer service

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times on business, and find it to be a real bargain as well as a top-notch property. What sets this hotel apart is its customer service. Everyone with whom I have had contact over the last few years when I stay there for business goes out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I only wish I had the time to come to the Mutiny on vacation! Its rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Having a kitchen and a sitting room is a real bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Ready to Return for Our Ninth Year!- Trip Adv

We have vacationed at Ocean Pointe Suites for eight years. Our first stay was just a few nights and our recent stays were eight+ nights. We are pleased with the progress through the years of the management, amenities and furnishings. It is a great place to stay, especially for families. Secure, clean, plenty to do and close to everything! We highly recommend Ocean Pointe Suites and look forward to our ninth year!

Great Family Place - Trip Advisor

Friendly staff and very clean room with a great view! The pool and playground area were great for the kids. Washer and dryer in the room was a huge plus. Very convenient location to visit John Pennecamp, and Islamorada. I would highly recommend this hotel for families traveling to the Keys.

Great Family Spot- Trip Advisor

Check in was fast and friendly. Great little cafe and bar with knowledgeable staff that offered great recommendations for dinner and sunset. Pool and deck is very large and plenty of seating and lots of sun. If you have a boat this is a great choice, they offer boat slips, ramp, and stations for cleaning fish. The grounds are surrounded by mangroves and nature that offers a true Florida Keys experience. You can even kayak off the small beach. The Keys are not known for sandy beaches so if that is what you are looking for....stay on the mainland. Our unit was very clean, comfortable, and great view! I would certainly stay again for quiet and relaxation. I gave this property five stars for friendly, comfortable, clean, and value. Thank you Ocean Pointe Suites for a wonderful stay!

"Great Place to Stay"

My family and I were all very happy with the Sunset Vistas. The condo was spotlessly clean and well-stocked. I especially loved the fact the cleaning staff does not come in your room every day-once I'm settled in, I like to feel like it's my place and not have my stuff moved around. If we needed anything (more coffee, toilet paper, towels...) they were there within seconds! I swear, they were sitting outside my door waiting for my call. We loved that we had an assigned parking spot in the garage so we never had to worry about parking. The beach was very close as was the pool. We will definitel stay here again when we're back in St. Pete!!!

"Really Nice Place"

I rented out a condo for a night while going to the beach and the Rays game. The rooms were really nice and clean! I had an amazing view off of my balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a fully equipped kitchen this was a great hotel for the money.

"Pleasant Stay"

Stayed at Sunset Vistas for 5 nights in July and had a very pleasant stay. Even though most properties in St. Pete are aging, Sunset Vistas was very nice and clean. I have a bad back from surgeries and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were great except they close at 10pm, which I thought was little early, but it does make for a quiet night for sleeping. The cafe had very good food and reasonably priced. The shop in the cafe had everything you would need to purchase such as snacks, drinks, individual dish tabs and laundry detergent, and toiletries. Great beach area. My kids (18 and 11) loved the ping pong table, volleyball on the beach, and Shake Shop next door (excellent shakes!). Staff was extremely nice, accomodating and helpful. Tiki bar is a little pricey but we bought our own drinks at the grocery store.

"Wonderful Family Vacation!"

We just returned from a one week stay at Sunset Vistas. The beach there is just beautiful. We had a two bedroom condo that was equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer were great. Both beds were very comfortable, and the unit was very clean. We were met upon arrival by a very nice security guard that seemed to be there 24/7. He was very friendly and did an excellent job patrolling the property. That made us feel very safe. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. Steven at the front desk was so nice in suggesting points of interest and went above and beyond in offering information about the area.

We will be back...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mutiny...very clean and well appointed suites..even included washer/dryer! Staff extremely friendly and available at every turn. Restaurant downstairs is a must. Our compliments to the chef!

Mutiny Hotel

Beautiful suite with modern equipment, even a washing machine. Nice pool surrounded by exotic plants. Bar staff very friendly & gave us lots of practical information. Location really close to Coco Walk with restaurants and shops and evening entertainment + a large green area in front (for public) large enough to do sports in.

Recently Renovated - Hotels.com

Condos look to be recently renovated. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable and overall stay was superior. Front desk staff was very polite and was able to place both parties right next to each other.

Hotels.com

We have stayed here a few times and LOVE it! Great staff! Nice big units with all the comforts of home!
