You'll be glad you came - TripAdvisor

We've been to this resort multiple times and it is always a great stay, especially if you have young children and are looking to relax. Beautiful pool and when your ready for the beach you cross about a 20' walk and your on the beautiful never crowded white sand beach. The staff is helpful and courteous, the cafe has good food and is great for ordering breakfast in or a poolside snack or lunch. The condo style rooms are very well kept and it always helps to have a washer and dryer in your unit.

Incredible Anniversary Get Away - TripAdvisor

This was the first time at this resort, but second time visiting Treasure Island. We love this area and knew that we wanted to celebrate our 20th on the beach. We loved our 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms that was a bonus when getting ready to go out. The suite was very clean and we loved the view of the gulf from the balcony. I wish that you could choose your room when you reserved, but you have to wait until you get there to get your actuall room #. We knew only that we were getting a partial gulf view, so we were worried that we would be overlooking the parking lot. We really lucked out and got a great end room on the 5th floor overlooking the back lawn and kids' pool. If you are looking for a party resort then don't choose Sunset Vistas. We loved the family atmosphere and quietness. We never had a problem sleeping at all because the rooms were so quiet. The beach was so close compared to other resorts on the stretch. We went to WalMart and bought beach chairs for $15 and a cheap beach umbrella instead of renting them each day and it worked out great. It's $30 a day to rent 2 loungers and an umbrella. Always check the box before the beach to see what people have left behind. If you want to walk to a restaurant it will be about a mile. We walked to John's Pass one night and the distance wasn't too bad. They have some good restaurants and bars there. I would recommend driving up to Clearwater and visiting Pier 60 in the evening when they have street performers, vendors and awesome sunsets- lots of fun! The surf shop there is huge with tons of beach clothing. You can also take cruises out of Clearwater. We took the Calypso Queen out for a lunch cruise. You will not be disappointed with this resort and it's within driving distance to everything. OH, and visit the Shake Shop right next door. They have the best shakes and malts ever with tons of flavors to choose from. We definitely will be back with our kids the next time.

Great find right on the beach - TripAdvisor

We stayed at Sunset vistas after a visit to Orlando. We were pleased right away with the beach access which was literally minutes walk to the water. The pool and whirlpool are very close also and provided a great place to relax. The 2 bedroom condo we rented was very clean and well equipped for the 3 day stay. Our room had a fantastic view of the pool and water. Provided some great sunsets. I felt it was a little pricy but in the long run for what you get with the views it was worth it. I would return.

Tampa vacation - TripAdvisor

My family really enjoyed our stay at Sailport on the bay. The room was very nice and so was the staff. With the room on the bay, we saw beautiful sunsets nightly and from our rooms' balcony we watched fish jump out of the water and storms roll in daily. It was a beautiful sight. Right on the beach, well equipped - TripAdvisor

This may be a long review but I try to give some points on lots of things. First let's start with the location. This property is right on the beach. Walk out the elevators and across a small walkway, and you are on the beach. One thing I liked is you are given your own parking space for your unit and they are numbered. However, you only get one space per unit so if you have more then one vehicle, you have to park the other vehicle somewhere else on the property. The room was well equipped, but wasn't as big as other suites we have stayed in at other locations. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the south side of the building. We were in Unit 413S. This is closer to the front of the building (toward the ocean) so the view was great. It wasn't oceanfront, but a great view for sure. There is everything you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the room was very clean and updated. TV's in all the rooms. The walk to the pool was one thing we were worried about because we have a son with cerebral palsy. The walk was very short. Out of the elevator to the right was the large pool and a hot tub and to the left was the kiddie pool and another hot tub. The walk to either was very short. There is a bar outside by the pool, however, we didn't go to it while we were there. There is alot in this area from restaurants to pharmacys, and a grocery store just down the street. John's Pass is just over the bridge. You could probably walk it, but we drove. We had no issues while we were there. The only complaint I would have is that the water in the pool could be a little cooler. It will be awhile before I make the 16 hour drive from Ohio back to Treasure Island, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. This place makes for a great vacation.

“Book Unit #4315”- Trip Advisor 5 of 5

We checked in on July 15 and out on July 17 2014. Our suite was spacious, clean, and enjoyable. We had 2 adults, 3 teens, and 1 child in our suite and it accommodated us very well. We enjoyed fishing off the pier, walking through the many trails on the property, and checking out the wildlife in the area. The beach area has a ton of sea grass in it and we could not walk into the water, but that happens when the tide rolls in and out. The suites are oceanfront BUT you must understand that in the Keys there are Mangrove Trees that line the shoreline. The only beach areas are man made. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we return again.

“Great location”- Trip Advisor 5 of 5

Stayed one evening at Ocean Pointe and wished we had more time to stay longer. Had 2 bedroom, 2 full bath suite on top floor of Bldg 5 with balcony view of ocean and a tiny island off the coast. Observed many scuba diver gear on balconies drying and some kayaks on vehicles in the parking lot. Our suite had everything for BYO dining-in, but we were too lazy so, About a mile or so North of OP, at MM 94.5, was The Snapper's Waterfront Restaurant open 7 days a wk for lunch & dinner.

“Book room 1210!!”- Trip Advisor 5 of 5

This unit is a one bedroom with ocean views. It's totally updated and absolutely beautiful!! It has every amenity you could possibly need. The decor is serene and peaceful and we won't stay anywhere else!!

“Perfect vacation getaway”Trip Advisor 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary. I researched many different hotels and resorts and kept coming back to this one. Once we got there we were greeted by the very friendly concierge. She made sure we had everything we needed. She also recommended some great places to visit while we were in the area. The room was amazing. It was clean and very nicely decorated. It felt more like a home away from home than a Resort. We enjoyed exploring in the kayaks and swimming in the saltwater pool. There is even a dock to keep your boat just steps away from the room. All in all this was the best vacation I had in a long time.

“Ahhhh-mazing”- Trip Advisor 5 of 5

The beach was fun - picked up rafts and little dingy inflatable boats at Big K-Mart by Publix also rented kayaks at ocean pointe cheap by the hr! Played football and volley ball and basket ball fun for all! The cafe was fun for afternoon happy hour printed our 20% off coupon Dee from Poland was so fabulous !!! Great Cuba Libres con 2 limes!! Great location went down to key west for the Fury adventure and ate at Big Chill awesome for both!!! Thanks!!! We will be back, Ocean Pointe was ON POINT!!

Fantastic Family Reunion - TripAdvisor

We held our family reunion at the Sunset Vistas last week and it was the perfect spot. We were a party of 13 adults and 14 kids under the age of 13 :). We occupied several units (all were clean and nicely equipped). The actual bedrooms were a little small, but they were more than adequate. Each unit has an assigned parking space (a big plus). The pool was large enough to accommodate our crowd plus all of the other resort guests. The kids were allowed to "be kids" in the pool (which doesn't happen at several places on the beach) and they even have a community box of toys for the kids to use at the beach or in the pool. There is also a nice splash pool for the little ones. The hotel is conveniently located near activities at Johns Pass and a local Publix - and the Shake Shop is virtually in the same parking lot. However, the BEST part about the facility was the staff!! Everyone was so pleasant!! We ate several meals at the cafe (food was great) and staff was eager to please. And we spent a great deal of time at the beachside tiki bar, and just like the cafe, the drinks were great and the bartenders were awesome. We highly recommend Sunset Vistas for a relaxing, or fun-filled beach vacation...whether you are a family of 4 or a reunion of 40...we know we'll be back!

Room Tip: Every unit has a balcony with an ocean view. Some are actual beachfront

Perfect Location - Great Rooms. - TripAdvisor

Our family stayed in this location for 5 days. The room was spacious and were were able to feel like we could spread out, and not be on top of each other if we had went to a chain hotel. All rooms have a view of the beach - which was wonderful to wake up to. John's Pass is only a 5 min drive or trolly ride away. Nice place with shops and restaurants. Talking with our neighbors, most were locals who always chose this location to spend some time closer to the beach. While some hotels say beach front -- you still have quite a bit of a journey. At this place - you walk to the actual water is close. I will be back.

Our new second home - TipAdvisor

We were in Tampa for 30 days while my husband had surgery. The room was clean and comfortable. We saw beautiful views throughout the property. The full kitchen made it easy for me to stay in and take care of my husband as he recovered. Even the drivers for the shuttle were friendly and treated us like family. I have never experienced such concern and care from a hotel. Where else would a hotel employee call to check on you at the hospital? The staff would call and come by regularly to check on us. It was wonderful to come "home" and find get well cards and ice cream in the freezer after a long day of surgery and appointments. We will miss Jerry, Mr. Harry, Mike and Gregg (drivers) and everyone else who helped make our stay so wonderful. The Sailport is the only place we will stay when we return next summer. Literally, the last RESORT! - TripAdvisor

It is my sincere pleasure to provide this review for my first stay so far at Sailport Resort. I accompanied a delegation of 18 military officers for a very important bi-lateral conference at USCENTCOM. The dates of our stay was 11-17 May during a time when every other hotel in Tampa was sold out due to other conventions in town. The only place that could accommodate all of us in one location was the Sailport Resort. This foreign delegation is used to staying at 5-star hotels that spare no expense. At first, the delegation was going to cancel the visit because all the 5-star hotels were all sold out. However, I convinced them to give it a try. Frankly, nothing can beat the sheer beauty of the location with water on most sides of the resort. You did not have anything to do with that. However, the staff was absolutely astounding in every regard. One employee went out of his way to set up a dinner event hosted by the foreign delegation. He worked diligently to ensure this event was a resounding success. His tenacity was incredible. Further, the professional and courteous behavior of the entire staff directly impacted the overall success of the conference. Without a doubt, the Sailport impressed me! I will stay here the next time I visit Tampa! Jim W Washington DC, District of Columbia
