“Beautiful view!” - tripadvisor

My husband and I, along with our 3 daughters (4, 14, 16) just got back from the Sunset Vistas. We stayed in Orlando 4 nights and then moved to Sunset Vistas for 3 nights. We wanted to relax on the beach and chill after the crazy Orlando crowds. That is exactly what we got. Treasure Island is a quiet little town without any hustle or bustle. We spent 3 days on the beach and it never felt crowded.

The resort itself is located in a great spot directly on the ocean. The rooms are set up so that all balconies aim toward the ocean, although I don't imagine you'd have much of a view from the ones further back by the street. We were lucky enough to have a condo on the 6th floor, first back from the direct ocean view. I had emailed the resort directly and requested a high floor with a great view, and that is exactly what we got! The sunset from our balcony was fantastic!

Although we spent most of the time at the beach, we did use the pool as well. It's not real big, but it wasn't very crowded when we where in it. I can't believe I'm saying this, as I'm usually always cold; however the pool water was very warm! It was hot out and I jumped in the pool expecting it to feel refreshing, but it didn't. It felt more like a hot tub. Felt good early in the morning or late at night though.

The condo was good sized for a family of 5. The only downfall is both bedrooms had a queen sized bed. One of my teens refuses to sleep in the same bed as her sister, so she slept on the hide-a-bed in the living room and the 4 yr old slept with the other teen in the queen bed. It all worked out! Our bed in the master was very comfortable! I love down comforters, so it's always a treat to stay some place that has them instead of cheap bedspreads. I read a different review where they said their bed was not comfortable; however that was not the case with ours. Not sure about the comfort of the couch, as we had it pulled out into a bed and never folded it back up to sit on. Other than to shower and sleep, we were never in the room.

We did eat breakfast twice at the little café on the 2nd floor. The ladies there were friendly and the meal was quick and cheap. We also visited the Tiki Bar on several occasions and had a couple yummy drinks!

All in all, our stay was great! It's not easy to find something affordable directly on the beach in the Clearwater/St Pete area - however Sunset Vistas fits the bill! I would not hesitate to go back!

“Perfect Location - Great Rooms.” - tripadvisor

Our family stayed in this location for 5 days. The room was spacious and were were able to feel like we could spread out, and not be on top of each other if we had went to a chain hotel. All rooms have a view of the beach - which was wonderful to wake up to. John's Pass is only a 5 min drive or trolly ride away. Nice place with shops and restaurants. Talking with our neighbors, most were locals who always chose this location to spend some time closer to the beach. While some hotels say beach front -- you still have quite a bit of a journey. At this place - you walk to the actual water is close. I will be back.

Second stay at Sailport, it won't be the last

After an amazing girls trip last fall, we had plans to come back to Sailport again in the spring. A couple of the girls were unable to make it, so we turned it into a double date couples vacation instead. I called and spoke with Nick, who was super friendly and accomodating - once he heard that this would be our second stay at Sailport, he went out of his way to take excellent care of us. We also spoke with Mary, who we connected with right away, as she is from CT. She even made a point to come meet us in person once we arrived to say hi! As perfect as these suites are for a group of friends, it was equally as perfect and convenient for two couples. My fiance and I had our own room, and our own full bathroom. The full kitchen came in handy for preparing appetizers and drinks while we were getting ready. The boys loved going down to the beach area to play vollyball while we hung out at the pool. You get a great view of the sunset, and they light tiki torches and a fire pit at night. We utilized the shuttle again to revisit some of the nearby restaurants and bars. During our last stay, the WiFi was a bit shaky - Mary let us know that it had been fixed, and we had full WiFi without any issues. My fiance was able to use his laptop throughout the whole trip and keep up with his work as needed. It was another great stay at Sailport, and I can say that we've found our official vacation spot in Florida. The suites are clean, roomy and comfortable, there are tons of things to do in the area, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We will definitley be back again! Paradise - Tripadvisor

I just returned from my trip to Sailport. The room was absolutely amazing with a perfect view, it felt like paradise. Staff was phenomenal. The full kitchen in the room is great, and if I were there longer I would definitely have gotten some use of it. Nesuh Tampa

So much fun for a wedding - TripAdvisor

This was the perfect place for a wedding guests to stay if the wedding is in the area, particularly if it is at the Rusty Pelican directly across the street! You can relax at the pool or beach areas and have a family and friends volleyball game on the beach for extra fun. The staff here is extremely accommodating and helpful. Location is convenient to airport and several good restaurants. It feels like a home away from home instead of a hotel room and has beautiful views of the bay. Just remember to bring supplies for breakfast and snacks, etc. because there is not a restaurant on site. There is a limited cafeteria style eatery next door at the Wells Fargo building but they stop serving breakfast kind of early. The only suggestion I would have for the unit would be to install ceiling fans, particularly in the bedroom. Super value for the price! Joanne M Sanibel Island, Florida

Return Visit and Vacation

This was our second visit to Sailport. We enjoyed the view and the hospitality of the staff. They remembered my Family from September 2013 and as always we had a good time from the Manager Harry to the limo driver Mike and the other staff members service was Great!

LOOK NO FURTHER this is the place!

I would stay again and am recommending the Sailport t friends and family. this is a condo. Not real big but very suitable for vascation. Full kitchen with regualr sized fridge, oven and dishwasher. Nice flat screen large TV's. Large balconies that each room has a room of the bay. We saw dolphins and manatees daily. Very clean grounds, rooms and the staff couldn't have been better. I am loved this place so much that I am checking into planing another vacation at one of there 6 other sister resorts all over Florida. The location of this resort is great. Close to dining and nice tiki bars, golf course you are only 25 mins to Clearwater Beach and toes in the same and you are 10 mins to Ybor City and 20 mins to Hard Rock. Secured building and parking, large clean pool with a seperate deck, and private beach area. Dock for fishing. Free fishing poles for your use. Lobby open 24 hours a day. Karen M TripAdvisor
