Trip Advisor review - “A Wonderful Getaway”

"...relax and have a wonderful time. We sure did."

"....When we arrived to check in, we realized that the credit card we wanted to pay on was left in my wife's purse which was at my parents house! The receptionist allowed us to have the card faxed to their offices anytime before we check out, so we could pay with that particular credit card. That really helped us out a lot and got our stay at Sunset Vistas off to a great start.
When we entered our room we found it to be spacious, clean and decorated beautifully. The fridge (full size) was clean and the ice maker had the ice bin filled up. The microwave (also full sized) was spotless and the kitchen on the whole was very clean. The coffee maker was clean as well, with some coffee grounds, sugar and the usual supplied. There were also 2 dishwasher "powerwash" tablets.
The washing machine and drier were also discretely placed in a closet and were in good working condition.
When you entered our condo, the first room to the left was not used by us (I don't think we ever went into that room after the first minute). It did not have an attached bathroom, but next to that bedroom was a clean bathroom with a very spacious walk in shower. This room had a 32 inch flat screen TV and a DVD player.
Our bedroom had an attached bathroom with a tub. The door wall lead to the balcony. There was plenty of closet space and more than enough space in the dressers. Our room was equipped with a 32 inch HDTV and a DVD player.
The dining room had a nice round table with 4 chairs and adjacent to it were 3 bar stools which were placed at the "bar" between the kitchen and the dining room.
The family room had a nice and very comfy sofa along with another chair to sit in. There was a nice 42 inch HDTV and DVD player there as well.
The door wall from the living room also lead out to the balcony.
The balcony gave us a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico. We also had a view of the pool (which I'll get to later).
There were plenty of towels, soap and normal things that you'd expect when staying in a hotel.
Now, this is not your usual hotel. What that means is that there is no room service as a normal hotel. Every 2nd day, housekeeping will come and give clean towels and take out the trash. That's it. If you're looking to order room service at 10pm, or looking to have someone come and make your bed everyday, you will be disappointed.
Also, there is a cafe which is open from 8am-5pm. There is a bar open in the afternoons and evenings, and basically they close when you're done drinking. Our room was close to the bar, yet we never had any problems with the sound.
On either side of the bar are 2 swimming pools. A kiddie pool with a hot tub next to it, and on the other side of the bar is a very nice, heated pool. It's big enough to have fun in and warm enough to be in at 10pm on a cool February night in Florida. There is also a hot tub adjacent to this pool, as well.
There are 2 types of rooms. Gulf View (which has a view of the gulf) and Gulf Facing (which, obviously faces the gulf). I found the view from our gulf view room to be more than sufficient.
All in all, it was wonderful. The white sand beach was clean and beautiful. Lots of sea shells to collect. You can lay out and do nothing all day long, and follow that up with some leisure time in your suite.
The best thing to do is after you arrive and check-in, go to the Publix grocery store (about a mile away) and stock up on whatever you expect you'll need.
And they also offer free wifi. We never had any trouble with the signal on either of our smart phones or on the laptop. It was fast and we were always connected."
